The very first Green Guide appeared as a directory for West London in 1994. Since then a further 22 editions have been published, with 6 more due in 2010. Several more are planned for 2011.
The Green Guide was originally created by Emma Hiwaizi, who now publishes Juno Magazine. Emma edited the first three editions but is no longer involved with the Green Guide.
The database has been published online since 1998.
