Ardalanish Isle of Mull Weavers

Description

Ardalanish, Isle of Mull Weavers, is located in the Hebrides of Scotland and sells tweeds, soft furnishings, tailored garments, ladies fashionwear and knitwear. Their tweeds are woven on the farm using undyed naturally coloured wool from native breeds of sheep and are certified Organic by the Soil Association. They also produce an Ethical Range. The garments are designed and made on the farm, and the knitwear is locally sourced. As well as using wool from their own sheep, they also buy wool from small family farms paying a fair price. The wool is spun at New Lanark using water power, before being woven on the farm. Visitors are encouraged to the farm to see each stage of the process.
