Fiery Felts

Description

I am a natural dyer and feltmaker who either creates felt landscapes painting with naturally dyed fibres and adding machine stitch or paintings with natural dye inks. I sells these inks made by myself and to my own recipes using plant and in one case insect derived pigments in 13 colours.

I also produce a range of hand spun unique art yarns and the occasional pieces of wearable art as well as four dye books all self-published with hand-painted covers in natural dyes. Landscapes, inks, Art Yarns and more are all available from my website.

Knitonthenet award-winning natural, locally grown wool, produced from fleeces bought from farms in Arnside/Silverdale AONB. Aran & DK weights available, also handspun wool handknit garments, woven goods and accessories sourced from the same fleeces. The sheep are 'conservation grazers' helping to maintain the flora of the area with their careful munching!
