Geographical Association: Environmental & Sustainable Development Working Group

Description

The GA Education & Sustainable Special Interest Group exists to further the aims of the GA with particular regard to the teaching of environmental and sustainable development education through geography, and the contribution that geography can make to ideas for creating and adopting more sustainable lifestyles. It holds regular meetings at which members (teachers, lecturers, researchers, students or consultants) exchange ideas and information about developments in the themes that are relevant to geography teachers. This information is passed on to the geography community through the Annual Conference, via correspondence and articles in GA and through other journals. It represents the interests of the GA by responding to initiatives, policies and programmes on environmental and sustainable development.
