Martin Centre for Architecture and Urban Studies


The Martin Centre is the longest established architectural research centre in the UK, and has an international reputation, recently being referred to as ‘the leading British architectural research unit’ in the international research journal Architectural Science Review. The remit of the Centre is to coordinate and administer the department’s research projects across the following key research areas: Cultural Context; Urban and Transport Planning; Environmental Design; Sustainable Building; Structures and Risk; and Digital Studio. The Martin Centre Research Society runs lectures every Wednesday lunchtime during term.
