Devon Wildlife Trust

The charity works to achieve a Devon richer in wildlife. It is the only independent organisation exclusively concerned with all aspects of wildlife conservation in Devon. A registered charity, DWT was established over 50 years ago and has a current membership of over 33 ,000. DWT has nature reserves throughout the county totaling over 3,500 acres. It is closely involved in land and marine management, surveying, policy formulation and education.

DWT employs highly qualified staff trained in all aspects of wildlife conservation. Hundreds of people, members and others, work with the organisation on a voluntary basis; activities include organising walks and talks, local conservation projects, monitoring local wildlife and raising funds. DWT is part of a national network of county Wildlife Trusts - a unique combination of local strength and national unity.
