Fauna & Flora International (FFI)

Description

FFI is the world's longest established international conservation body, founded over 100 years ago. Renowned for its science-based approach, FFI has pioneered sustainable conservation work that tackles problems holistically, providing solutions that simultaneously help wildlife, humans and the environment. It acts to protect a variety of threatened species such as the Asian elephant, the mountain gorilla, the world's rarest snake the Antiguan racer, mahogany and other globally endangered trees, and rare plants in countries such as South Africa. It also aims to make the timber and garden industry more eco-friendly through investigative reports and listings of sustainable alternatives. Produces a general magazine for members, called Fauna & Flora, and the conservation journal Oryx.
