Description

There’s so much going on at St. Margaret’s House that people often don’t realise all of what’s available. Here are some ways for you to get involved:

A Diverse Programme of Cultural Events
There’s always something interesting to see or do at St. Margaret’s House. We host a wide variety of events throughout the year, including regular art exhibitions, film screenings, music gigs, spoken word nights, and comedy performances as well as special one-off festivals. Check out our event listings to find out what’s going on this month.

Workshops in Arts & Crafts
At The Create Place you can drop-in for free weekly sessions, which are open to everyone no matter your skill level. They’re the perfect place to meet fellow crafters while working on a project or learning a new skill and enjoying a cuppa. Or check out our calendar, as there are lots of one-off workshops and in-depth courses offered each month. And if you’ve got a skill to teach, we’re always looking for new workshop facilitators.

Lo Cost Office Space & Room Hire
At St. Margaret’s House we are home to more than 30 different community organisations and charities – you can learn about them all here. If you are a community or not-for-profit organisation operating in Tower Hamlets, we offer various room hire facilities at low rates, as well as subsidised office spaces to rent. For more information e-mail roombookings@stmargaretshouse.org.uk.

Volunteers
The work done by St. Margaret’s House would not be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers. We’re always in need of helping hands; whether it’s helping out at our charity shop or facilitating a workshop at The Create Place, there are plenty of ways to get stuck in. If you would like to volunteer with us, whether for a one-off opportunity or on an ongoing basis, please e-mail volunteer@stmargaretshouse.org.uk to learn about all of the opportunities available.

Vegan & Vegetarian Food
At The Gallery Café we offer a delicious selection of vegan and vegetarian food, an exciting program of live events, and a new art exhibition from an up-and-coming artist every month. Almost of our dishes are available as a vegan option and we're committed to making delicious food that proves that a vegan diet doesn't mean missing out on your favourite dishes.
