Our ethos has always been to do the simple things well, add a dash of flair and exceed expectations. Award winning ales and well chosen, great value wine lists are matched by menus designed to hit the mark in terms of unpretentious comfort (hence our famous steaks and burgers) whilst also offering real innovation and ‘grown up’ food cooked by passionate chefs. We only serve sustainable fish caught from English day boats and in 2010 we went into partnership with Jamie Williams at Locks Drove Farm to rear all of our chicken and a growing amount of pork and lamb. We also work with The Sustainable Restaurant Association, a non-profit organisation committed to promoting sustainability across the UK’s restaurant industry, to build upon our good working practices.

Every year a portion of our profits is donated to the Kivuli Trust and we are also happy to serve Belu water, who donate their proceeds to Water Aid, who are dedicated to providing clean water to the world’s poorest countries.
