Hide Cottage

Set right on the riverside, with stunning views out over the river, marsh and grazing, Hide Cottage is a quiet getaway on the Norfolk Broads. Located in the 3000-acre Upper Thurne Nature Reserve (SSSI) it is ideal for bird and wildlife watching, boating, fishing or just relaxing away from it all.

Hide Cottage is accessible only by boat or a short 400-yard walk, which ensures a truly peaceful break in one of the most delightful and historic spots on the Norfolk Broads and benefits from being above the ancient Potter Heigham bridge, which keeps 95% of the river traffic at bay, leaving you just the traditional broads sailing cruisers and the occasional fisherman.

We take our eco credentials very seriously at Hide Cottage and offer much more than just warm words. Solar panels, a wood burner, organic and Fairtrade bed linen, natural cleaning products, an organic and local food hamper and an electric boat are just some of the ways in which we are trying to reduce the impact of your stay with us.

The cottage sleeps five in two rooms and is perfect for Autumn and Winter holidays, as well as summer sailing or walking breaks.
