Commonwork is an educational trust on a 500-acre organic farm and study centre at Bore Place, Kent, and is committed to exploring in practice how to live more sustainably. Commonwork’s conference and study centre presents a peaceful and creative environment for professional and personal development. You are welcome to take part in our education programmes or hold your own development and training.

We regularly host events, meetings, seminars and workshops with public bodies, NGOs, social enterprises and commercial businesses as well as welcoming writers, artists and private family parties. Our chef prepares delicious seasonal food using local, fairly-traded and organic ingredients, including produce from our own farm. Accommodation is in sensitively converted historic buildings around a courtyard and complements our new low-carbon resource centre which is spacious and well equipped for meeting and learning.

Visitors can explore and enjoy our organic, wildlife and vegetable gardens, see our renewable energy installations, or take a walk along the Bore Place Field Trail. Commonwork’s extensive education programmes for school students and teachers focus on food, farming, sustainable development and global learning. We have public programmes in growing, cooking and green woodwork as well as running hugely popular open days for the public.
