New Leaf

Description

New Leaf does community gardening with young people from the South London area. We are transforming the strip of land by West Dulwich railway station, where we are planting a 'pocket' Botanical Garden.

New Leaf's client-base are usually referrals from Southwark Council (with whom we have strong links), often those classed as NEETS who express an interest in pursuing a career in horticulture or construction. Our founder (ex-botanist) Vinnie acts as a mentor - this scheme has so far had much success producing gardeners, construction workers and perhaps anomalously an accountant.

We have just launched a pilot scheme of accredited courses which has received positive feedback from its participants.
