Pimhill Farm


Pimhill Farm is run by the third generation of the Mayall family. Father and son, Sam and Richard Mayall made the pioneering decision to farm organically in 1949. In making this decision they became one of a tiny handful of farms now seen as the spark that ignited the organic movement. Pimhill Farm has been growing oats and hand packing since the 1950s. Not only are the oats genuinely delicious but due to the long organic heritage cornflowers and other wild flowers are often seen in the cereal crops. In a recent survey 12 rare species of plants were identified including the extremely rare corn buttercup. Pimhill Farm is committed to supplying its products either directly from the farm or through the independent trade at affordable prices.

A mill on site stonegrinds the home-grown wheat into a delicious range of flours. Products are sold through the independent trade so products can be found in delis, wholefood and farm shops across the UK. They are also supplied through the Abel & Cole and Riverford box schemes and a number of regional box schemes.
