Penny Walker


Penny Walker is a facilitator, trainer, coach and consultant with over twenty years’ experience of catalysing change for sustainable development. Her main focus is facilitating groups and processes, whether it be stakeholder engagement and participatory approaches to decision-making, organisational and behaviour change, or training and learning. Penny supports and energises individuals to make a real difference within their organisations, sectors or fields as they make the journey towards sustainability. She designs workshops and meetings that enable people to have the conversations they need, so they can change the way they work.

Penny helps large and small companies, NGOs and public bodies to create a better future. She also works with a range of partners and collaborators cooperating to help clients make changes at a strategic, cultural and personal level.

She writes regularly for The Environmentalist magazine, focusing on change, strategy and interpersonal skills. Her widely-praised and accessible book, Change Management for Sustainable Development - a workbook, was published by the IEMA in 2006.
