The University of Birmingham's Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFoR) was launched in 2013 with the aim of it becoming a world-leading centre designed to be bold and ambitious in its research intentions to understand how forests react to the combined threats of climate change and invasive pests or diseases.
