The Society for the Environment (SocEnv) has a Royal Charter and is the leading and co-ordinating professional body in environmental matters and a pre-eminent champion of a sustainable environment. We believe that collaboration is key to tackling sustainability and the environmental challenges we face today. By joining together to form a collective voice and pushing forward the role of Chartered Environmentalists, we enhance and empower all our members working for a sustainable future.

As the Registration Authority for the qualification ‘Chartered Environmentalist’ (CEnv), the Society licences the professional organisations which are its members (AA, CABE, CIAT, CIOB, CIEEM, CIWM, CIWEM, EI, IAgrM, ICF, IEMA, IFM, IOMMM, IAgrE, IChemE, ICE, IED, IES, IMechE, IWater, RICS, SEE and SOE) to award the qualification of Chartered Environmentalist to individuals, recognising their professional environmental expertise.
