Thrive Battersea Garden Project

Description

The Thrive Battersea Garden Project uses gardening to make a real difference to the lives of people with a disability. Disabled people come to the Garden Project from all over South and West London. They are from many different walks of life and range in age from 17 to 70 years. Clients may have a learning disability, a mental health problem, a physical disability caused perhaps by stroke or heart disease, or a sensory disability such as partial sight or deafness. Whatever their challenge in life, the focus is to help them learn new skills and improve their health and wellbeing through gardening. The Thrive Battersea Garden Project is run by Thrive – the only charity of its kind operating nationally in the field of disability and gardening.
