3Freunde

Description

3Freunde - 3friends - is a german label and sourcing agency focused on organic and Fairtrade cotton. 3Freunde relies on a transparent supply chain and is a licensed partner of the Fairtrade organisation. We deliver the story behind the t-shirt for a new customer experience.

Customers can start ordering our products from one piece. You can even customize the artwork on the t-shirt. We are also able to produce big quantities for companies, NGOs etc.

Founded 2006 from three friends, 3Freunde is still looking for the perfect t-shirt: we rely on a stable supply chain that can trust in us as well as we can trust in them.

After founding an own manufacturing unit in a village in South India (www.mila-clothing.com) and paying living wages to the workers, we are now looking to reduce the salt consumption in the dyeing unit.

Customers are invited to visit our partners at any time.

In 2014 3Freunde received the Fairtrade Award from the German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development for our leading role in making the fashion industry sustainable.

A Question of

Description

A QUESTION OF what? A QUESTION OF is the story of two friends with a shared passion for making sustainable living a simple choice. The journey started out in 2010 with the production of a small collection of under-ground inspired black and white printed organic T-shirts. It did not take long before fashion stores all around the world, ranging from Paris to London and Tokyo to Berlin, noticed the brand’s clean and playful designs. The high demand meant that the small production of black and white T-shirts quickly evolved into four full collections a year.

Today, the collections have progressed into more than just T-shirts, and now range from edgy, comfy sweatshirts to cool, unique shirts. The love for sustainability continues to play an essential role in every part of the brand. All cotton products are made from GOTS certified organic cotton, which, unlike conventional cotton, is made without any use of toxic chemicals, making it healthier for both you and the environment. Mix that with the clean, unique designs, and you get a feeling of what A QUESTION OF is all about.

Call of the Brave

Description

Call of the Brave is a crowdfunding platform for T-shirt designs. If a design is successfully backed the design is screen printed on either organic cotton, recycled polycotton (cotton offcuts mixed with recycled plastic bottles), or bamboo, and sent out to the backers. When a new T-shirt is sent out we ask for an old one in return - customers are incentivised by paying a deposit on the packaging - any old shirts we get back are upcycled into new things which we sell for charity.

In April 2013, the Rana Plaza Collapse in Bangladesh killed 1134 garment workers and affected many more lives. A percentage of profits go to those who are affected by unfair fashion - Oporajeo, a worker’s co-op of Rana Plaza survivors that operate from a one story building, and a school for Rana Plaza orphans.

Here Today Here Tomorrow

Description

Here Today Here Tomorrow is a collaborative studio shop, where we design, make, mend, showcase, sell and educate, all under the same roof, accessible and visible to all.

We have a holistic approach to sustainability that celebrates diversity and recognizes that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution. We also run craft based workshops and offer educational lectures.

Our aim is to connect the customer and local passer-by to the processes involved in making the products. Showing people the materials, skills and time required to create unique products by hand encourages customer engagement and understanding.

Our work focuses on different elements of sustainability, and we offer high quality and beautiful products that address a range of sustainable and ethical practices, including handmade craftsmanship, locality, durability, recycling, natural dye, organic materials, fair trade, individuality and transparency of production.

In the future we hope sustainable fashion will be about longevity of products, beautiful design, reconnecting with nature, understanding limits and recapturing values. Here Today Here Tomorrow is a collaboration between four designers - Katelyn Toth-Fejel, Emma Dulcie Rigby, Julia Crew and Anna-Maria Hesse.

Joanne Scott London Ltd. (Trade name: Tara Starlet)

Description

Nostalgic clothes for modern women.

Tara Starlet is a vintage inspired fashion line with responsible ethics and a timeless charm. We advocate recycling, and original buttons and trimmings are incorporated into the designs wherever possible, giving our collection true authenticity.

End of roll fabrics are also used, putting to good use what would otherwise be waste. This means that the designs are often made in a selection of different fabrics with a limited amount of garments of each one, so you won’t find hundreds of other women wearing the same thing!

On top of this, the entire collection is made locally in London, to keep your carbon footprint dainty. These ecological techniques help to make the collection authentic, unique and exclusive, and at the same time, keep your conscience clear as crystal!

We are proud to be supporting British industry.
