Event Description

A shorter half day session designed to address the difficulty and benefits of retrofitting historic and older housing stock. Addressing energy efficiency is fast becoming one of the most pressing issues in older, traditionally-constructed buildings, particularly with the advent of finance streams such as Green Deal, ECO and the forthcoming RHI. However, retaining character and significance can be at odds with achieving improved thermal efficiency, and there is a great deal of controversy around the risks and benefits of different technical solutions.
