Addressing energy efficiency is fast becoming one of the most pressing issues in older, traditionally-constructed buildings, particularly with the advent of finance streams such as Green Deal, ECO and the forthcoming RHI. However, retaining character and significance can be at odds with achieving improved thermal efficiency, and there is a great deal of controversy around the risks and benefits of different technical solutions.

The speaker, Nicholas Heath will address all this with case studies.

Event Description

This seminar looks at the difference between projected and actual energy use and efficiency and tries to address the reasons behind it.

Many construction professionals understand that, even with the best intentions, there can be a big difference between the predicted energy performance and actual energy use. These gaps can be huge – some buildings can use over three times the amount of energy for heating, electricity and water.

No rhetoric at this conference... it's all real and it's happening today.
