Breadshare
Description
Breadshare is community-supported bakery in the Scottish Borders and a social enterprise that gives back to the community. We serve and involve the community by making organic bread and distinctive local products, helping to create a more sustainable and health-enhancing food system. Our bread is delivered into Edinburgh in a 100% electric van and locally through breadbaskets - customers who buy 10 loaves get one free.
Our bread is simply made using traditional, slow-fermentation methods and natural ingredients. It does not involve the use of any processing aids, artificial additives, flour 'improvers', preservatives or artificial anything! By using organic ingredients, our bread is higher in nutritional value and lower in potentially harmful petrochemical residues.
Anyone can become a member and support us - as an investor, a volunteer or a breadbasket.
