Launched at London Fashion Week in September, People Tree’s Atelier Collection is a selection of contemporary silhouettes with a timeless, elegant look, designed by Tracy Mulligan.

The collection includes a variety of styles, ranging from the strapless cuff pant suit to the statement evening dress. This is a new direction for People Tree: bold, sophisticated and fresh. The intricate designs are married with classic colours, hand-dyed, hand-woven cotton, organic cotton and hand-woven silk. The embroideries are hand-stitched with glass pearls, glass diamantes and clear glass cubes.

The use of 100% Fair Trade fabric is a foundation of People Tree clothing since the company's inception, and provides some of the world’s most marginalised communities with a sustainable living. This new collection maintains their traditional skills as well as demonstrating the capability of Fair Trade groups in Bangladesh.

Tracy Mulligan is an award winning fashion designer and currently the Head of Design for People Tree. Tracy is no newcomer to London Fashion Week. She started her own luxury womenswear label, Sonnetag Tracy, in 1991, right after graduating from Central Saint Martin’s, where she studied Fashion and Textiles, and quickly became one of the first London Fashion Week New Generation designers, nominated four times.

Tracy joined People Tree in 2008, adding her urban style to People Tree's ethical and sustainable fashion brand.
