Eco coffee roasters Origin Coffee launch the first speciality espresso bar in Selfridge’s London Food Hall

Origin Coffee are the first speciality coffee brand to have a concession in Selfridge’s Food Hall in London, joining the prestigious brands Melrose and Morgan and Daylesford Organic. The collaboration highlights the speciality coffee revolution taking over the UK.

As well as launching their Espresso Bar, Origin Coffee are also taking over the Oxford Street window, showcasing their retail coffee boxes. Selfridges has been stocking the seasonal collection of the speciality coffee brand since April, 2014.

Tom Sobey, founder and director says: “We are excited to launch the Espresso Bar in collaboration with Selfridge’s. It gives customers the opportunity to taste our seasonal coffee and also purchase beans to continue enjoying at home.

“It is fantastic to be recognised by Selfridges as a brand leader in the speciality coffee market and to be the first speciality coffee concession in their London Food Hall. It is a testament to our artisan product and commitment to quality to bring the two brands together.”

The Espresso Bar will be open from 7.30am to 8pm 6-days a week and from 11am – 6pm on a Sunday.

Origin Coffee coffee is environmentally sourced and the company's strict social standards mean they work closely with their farmers to guarantee they are getting a great price for their crop and that their workers and the environment are being looked after too.

In 2010 Origin invested in the Loring SmartRoast - it's the world's first environmentally friendly coffee roaster, using 80% less energy than any other on the market and producing next to no emissions.
