Event Description

FRN Annual Conference 2016 - Reuse For a Better Future

The FRN Annual Conference in 2016 is the biggest and best event on the subject and activity of re-use. In fact it is the only event focusing entirely on reuse in the UK.

No rhetoric at this conference... it's all real and it's happening today.

The theme this year is Reuse for a Better Future because... the more we reuse the more we HAVE to offer society and people in the future!

Whether you are:

  • an actual reuse organisation looking at your future options and activities to support society and the environment,
  • a Local authority considering how to save money and reduce their communities waste and provide for those who are in urgent need of support on their localities,
  • a waste management company hoping to find out how to use reuse and work with social clauses and impact to meet contract requirement,
  • a housing association hoping for more options for those they help,
  • a furniture and electrical retailer hoping to find a solution to their waste and so many more

.....if you want to find solutions through reuse this is the conference for you.

The FRN Annual Conference will open your eyes to what you can gain through reuse. With successful, resourceful reuse practitioners attending and an FRN team with years of experience in reuse (from breaking the silos of policy to supporting housing, from consumerism to a circular economy, from furniture retail to WEEE and much more) the Annual FRN Conference will give you the chance to network, discuss and listen to the very best in the reuse sector.

You will leave brimming with ideas, innovations, solutions and opportunities to future collaborations. Let the FRN Annual Conference open the doors to the splendours and resourceful nature of reuse. Find out just how much reuse can do for you, your community, your employees, your savings, your waste and so much more.

  • What commercial and public sector are available to the reuse sector?
  • How do collaborations between public and private sector work?
  • Is reuse overlooked by the public and private sector?
  • How does collaborations between public and private sector in reuse make a difference to local communities?
  • Can the collaboration of the reuse sector with public and private sectors make a dramatic and much needed difference to local communities?

At the FRN Annual Conference 2016 we will address these questions and shed light on the future of the reuse sector.

About the Organiser

Furniture Re-use Network
We are the Furniture Re-use Network (FRN). We are the only UK-wide body concerned with helping re-use and recycling charities and social enterprises to alleviate material poverty of the poorest and most disadvantaged members of our society. Waste prevention is a huge and
wonderful benefit to our work, but addressing social need and inequalities is our core mission.
