Event Description

An exciting collaboration between The Fat Hen Cookery School and Peboryon Cakes - one of the finest luxury cake makers, based in beautiful Penzance.

On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September guests are invited to escape to Penwith for two wonderful days of foraging, baking and creating. Under the expert tutelage of wild food expert Caroline Davey, you will forage for ingredients from the landscape. She will help you identify plants and wild delicacies throughout your walk - covering the variations of size, texture, colour, taste and more. You'll also enjoy tips on cooking your freshly foraged delights - but also cover all the potentials mistakes and look-a-like plants!

Returning to The Fat Hen you'll be let loose in the kitchens, under the expert eye of the gourmet bakers of Peboryon. You will also learn to create a beautiful design with acclaimed cake designers Christine Jensen, who - along with her husband Phil - create some of the most beautiful cake creations from their studio in Penzance.

The course costs £250 per person, and includes all refreshments, lunch, transports to and from lodgings, ingredients, all equipment...and plenty of cake!
