BusinessGreen Leaders Summit

The Crystal, Royal Victoria Docks, Siemens Brothers Way, London E16 1GB

9th November 2017

Event Description

This November is the BusinessGreen's 10th anniversary and to mark the occasion we will be hosting the inaugural BusinessGreen Leaders' Summit 2017.

Our inaugural one-day summit will bring together some of the world's top sustainable business thinkers to offer unique insights on how the green economy has evolved over the past decade and how it will continue to develop as it enters a new era of sustainable business transformation and navigates a period of historic technological and political disruption.

2017 marks a critical moment for green industries. The goals of the Paris Agreement require the urgent scaling up of low carbon infrastructure and business models. Falling clean tech costs, innovative financing models, and effective policies all suggest mass deployment of these 'survival technologies' is both possible and desirable. But at the same time fresh headwinds have emerged in the rise of President Trump and economic populism, not to mention the challenges presented by Brexit. The question of what happens over the next decade is challenging business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and policy makers the world over.

The BusinessGreen Leaders' Summit will address this and many other questions faced by the green economy. Green business leaders will discuss the specific short term challenges and opportunities that they currently face, as well as fundamental trends the executives need to understand if they want their organisations to remain competitive in the long term.

Across the fields of policy and politics, management and leadership, and technology and innovation, BusinessGreen will bring together some of the green economy's leading lights to provide a day of essential and thought-provoking speeches, debate, case studies, and networking for the UK's top green business leaders, sustainability executives, and clean tech entrepreneurs and investors.
