HealthfoodsUK is the internet service of Ceres Natural Foods Ltd, a natural foods store based in Yeovil, Somerset; and has been trading since 1977. We are lacto-vegetarians and so do not sell meat or fish products (although some supplements may contain fish oils) but are happy to supply foods from vegan through to those containing eggs, honey and dairy products.

Boyton Farm @ The Ginger Piggery

Description

Boyton Farm uniquely sells their renowned Tamworth pork, bacon and sausages, Sussex beef and local breeds of lamb direct from the farm at The Ginger Piggery. The beef and lamb are reared on conservation downland and water meadows. Apart from the bacon, there is no processing using chemicals - it may shorten the shelf life but it enhances the quality of these unique products.

All cuts are available from our resident butcher who hangs the beef and lamb whole, before starting to cut the meat into joints, curing hams and bacon and making sausages. Read more »

The Five Points Brewing Company

Description

The Five Points Brewing Company is an independent brewery based in a Victorian railway arch underneath Hackney Downs Station near the five-way junction we take our name from. We brew flavoursome and distinctive craft beers for East London as well as further afield. We strive to be a socially-conscious employer by sourcing our electricity through renewable resources, and contributing 5% of our profits back to the local community.

The Five Points is also the first brewery in the UK to be a certified Living Wage employer.

Stepney City Farm - Farm Shop

Description

The Farm Shop is open Tuesday-Sunday selling eggs from our chickens, ducks, geese and quails, seasonal fruit, herbs and vegetables grown on the farm and delicious foods made by local suppliers, such as chutneys by Newton & Pott and teas from Joe’s Tea Co.

Farm reared meat is on sale occasionally, usually in November though we will have some Tamworth pork available in early summer 2015.

Kew Village Market

Description

Once a month the village streets of Kew are closed to traffic (except for local residents to access their properties) and become a bustling market of over 35 stalls, all from independent traders. Most are food-related and attend regularly, whereas the arts and crafts stalls rotate month by month.

There is also music from local bands most months.

The Kew Village Market is run by the community – all the organisers are volunteers and live in the area. All the profits made by the Kew Village Market Committee are donated to charity.

Wallington Farmers’ Market

The Wallington Farmers’ Market is held on the second Saturday of every month. It is held 9am til 1pm by the Old Town Hall and Library Gardens, Wallington, SM6 0NB. All our stallholders are local producers and sell fresh, high quality produce at competitive prices.
