Irish Organic Farmers and Growers Association inspects and certifies the operations of organic farmers, growers, and processors in Ireland and Northern Ireland. IOFGA is approved by the Department of Agriculture and Food in Ireland and by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs in the United Kingdom (organic certification UK7).

Scottish Organic Producers Association (SOPA)

Description

Formed in 1988 to service organic farmers and growers in Scotland. With a membership of over 500 farmers throughout Scotland, SOPA is the largest organic certification body in Scotland (Organic Certification GB-ORG-17).

Demeter Certification Scheme of the Biodynamic Association

Description

The Biodynamic Association owns and administers the Demeter Certified Trademark in the UK (organic certification UK6) and is linked with a worldwide network of independent certifying organisations under the umbrella of Demeter International.

The scheme is fully recognised by Defra. Many of the recognised organic standards are incorporated in the Demeter Standards.
