Geological Society

Description

The GeologicalSociety of London was founded in 1807. It is the UK national society for geoscience and the oldest national geological society in the world. It is also the UK professional body for geoscience offering three chartered tiltes: Chartered Geologist (CGeol), Chartered Scientist (CSci) and European Geologist (EuRGeol). The Society provides a wide range of professional and scientific support to its 10,500 Fellows (members) of whom about 200 live overseas. It also runs meetings and is a significant publisher of geoscience research.
