Description

Rudolf Steiner House

Description

Offers a full programme of evening and daytime activities relating to work started by Rudolf Steiner. Includes study groups, talks, lectures, and courses in painting and movement. There are also regular weekend workshops on a variety of topics as well as performances in the Steiner theatre. Contact for a programme of events.

Royal Highland Education Trust

Description

An educational charity, established in 1999. RHET aims to create the opportunity for each child in Scotland to learn about food and farming and to ensure a wider understanding of the environmental, economic and social realities of the countryside in Scotland. Its key activites include farm visits for schools and other young people's groups, farmer speakers and resource production.

Human Scale Education

Description

Human Scale Education believes that children’s needs are best met and their potential fully realised in human scale settings. It promotes the re-structuring of large schools into smaller units, also supports the establishment of small alternative schools. It is a membership organisation and sells a range of alternative educational publications. A newsletter is produced three times each year and HSE also maintains a list of alternative schools.

GLOBE Programme

Development Education Project (DEP)

Description

An educational charity providing support and information to promote a global perspective in the classroom. DEP provides support and advice on all areas of Development Education through in-service training, curriculum support projects and a Resource Centre, which contains over 2500 educational books and teaching resources. Runs projects to develop teaching practice, improve teacher training and create new resources for classroom activities.

British Council for School Environments

Description

A membership organisation made up of local authorities, schools, construction companies, architects and others involved in, and concerned about, the design and build process in the education sector.

Wynstones School
