Cambridge Sustainability Centre

Description

Our mission is to help people gain the skills and confidence to live their lives more sustainably and to love doing it.

We run courses and Earth Education visits on our organic family farm just outside Cambridge (UK) in beautiful countryside on the edge of the Fens. We also run some volunteering activities throughout the year, as well as offering weekend eco-retreats staying in a yurt or tipi in our picturesque orchard.

Epping Forest Field Centre

Description

Epping Forest Field Centre (EFFC) is in the heart of Epping Forest. The centre is managed by the Field Studies Council (FSC), an independent environmental education charity, on behalf of the City of London.

EFFC specialises in connecting people of all ages with the natural environment by providing safe and enjoyable learning experiences in Epping Forest and the surrounding area.

The Greenhouse

Description

Norwich's Environment Centre. The Greenhouse is a licenced cafe and shop selling organic and fairtrade produce. The building offers meeting rooms and gallery space and is a contact point for local groups including Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, Norwich Cycling Campaign and Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

Secondhand book sales are held every Friday and Saturday and a range of environmental magazines and information is availble from the shop and cafe. Read more »

Sumac Centre

Description

The Sumac Centre is an independent community resource and social centre. It houses a vegan café, social club bar and Veggies Catering Campaign, providing information and resources for local residents, and members of the wider campaigning community concerned about human and animal rights, social justice and environmental issues. There is also a community garden, a modest library, internet access and bookshop.
