The Southampton Scrapstore collects and holds a wide variety of waste materials, donated by local businesses, which are then re-used in the community for arts and craft projects and events. Our members are what make the Southampton Scrapstore happen. Without you being part of it we wouldn't be here at all. We also have a shop selling all those extras for your craft project, from paints to glue to paper, everything you can think of and all at competitive prices. Come have a look next time you're in!

Tons of business waste are sent to landfill every day. Arts, play, educational groups and families need interesting materials for their activities. We’re the link, one person’s waste is another's treasure!

Work & Play (Community Scrapstore)

Description

Voluntary organisation collecting and redistributing clean reusable waste materials as a resource for charitable, educational and non-profit groups. For a small annual fee, groups have unlimited access to card, paper, fabrics, wood, etc. Regular workshops are provided in creative reuse, covering the national curriculum, multicultural and craft based topics. Enquiries welcome from potential users and suppliers.

Swindon Children’s Scrap Store

Description

Everyday, factories offices, and small businesses generate tons of ‘waste materials’ which all too often simply get sent straight to landfill. Much of this waste is suitable for reuse in creative play and education. Aim is to support community organisations.

NEDay Crafts & Events Ltd

Description

NEDay Crafts & Events are creative designers of eco craft crafts, craft parties and craft workshops. We encourage children of all ages to get creative away from television and computers.

Merseryside Play Action Council

Description

A non-profit making charity, which was set up over 40 years ago. They have the ‘Scrounge Room’ packed with reusable waste materials, and over the years many playschemes have been able to have things they couldn’t afford to buy from local shops.

Children’s Scrap Project

Description

The first children’s scrap project in England. Collects paper, card, cloth and materials for collage from industry anywhere in the South East.
