Event Description

National Countryside Week is The Prince’s Countryside Fund’s annual awareness week and will take place from Monday 31st July to Sunday 6th August. Every year the campaign aims to raise awareness and celebrate the values of the countryside. In previous years activity has included Walk a Country Mile and encouraging members of the public to pack a picnic in support of the countryside.

The campaign objectives are to:

  • Celebrate the countryside and the people who live and work there.

LEAF Open Farm Sunday is the farming industry’s national open day. Visit a farm on Open Farm Sunday on 11th June 2017 and discover the world of farming. Find out about the story behind our food and how farming affects our everyday lives.

LEAF Open Farm Sunday, managed by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming), is one of the farming industry’s biggest success stories. Since the first Open Farm Sunday in 2006, over 1500 farmers across the UK have opened their gates and welcomed 1.8 million people onto their farm for one Sunday each year. Read more »

London Tree Week

Celebrate London’s trees and woodlands with a week of special events.

The 60 plus events include talks, guided walks and tours in streets, parks and woodlands. There'll also be mindfulness, poetry, art and photography walkshops, children’s activities plus exhibitions at City Hall and Thames Chase Forest.
